Family Based Confirmation, Adult Catechesis, and Catechesis Refresher

Here at St. Paul’s, we continue to seek ways in which families, our confirmands, adults, and life-long members can continue to be strengthened in their faith as they continue to learn about and are taught the basic tenets of faith as drawn from Scripture and as it is given to us simply and plainly in the Small Catechism. What you will find here, is a catechism program that serves multiple purposes.

  1. It will serve as the confirmation curriculum for our current children who are going through the process of being confirmed in their faith.

  2. It will serve any adult who is seeking to become a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

  3. It will serve to help any member who would simply like a catechesis refresher on the six chief parts of the small catechism.

  4. It can serve as a means for daily devotions and studying God’s Word.

With the approval of the Bord of Christian Education, we will be transitioning to this FamilyBasedConfirmation.  This style is based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 (called the Shema), where families talk to their children throughout the day and tell them about God in all of life’s most simple and complicated moments.  Our FamilyBasedConfirmation Curriculum gives you the tools to intentionally share the faith with your child while at the same time learning more about your own faith in God. Confirmands will then will discuss with the pastor/leader about the things they learned during the week and and any questions that they may have.

Parents of Confirmands: To access the lessons, you will click on the button below to access the lesson and video links. The buttons are in the order that the confirmands will follow beginning on the left side with Baptism. Adult Confirmands and those seeking a catechesis refresher, can follow these links and use it in any order that they desire.
